Buying MRNA call contracts.

Moderna Inc. (MRNA) is the medical company well known for its covid vaccines.

Shares soared during the covid crisis as investors got excited about the company’s earnings potential. But in the last several months, MRNA gave up a substantial portion of its gains.

Speculative traders are moving capital out of “exciting” stocks like MRNA. But now that shares are trading lower, the company looks like a better long-term investment.

The stock trades for just under 16 times expected profits for next year. This puts MRNA closer to “value stock” status instead of a speculative growth play. In other words, the stock is much more attractive to investors in today’s economic environment.

As the market begins to mount a relief rally (if not a full-fledged bear market bottom), MRNA should participate and has room to trade substantially higher.
